The misapplication of group discussion
Hi! After a very tiring day I back to the action by posting the another post in my blogger. I've tried my best to do well and completed it as soon as possible. I'm already stress enough to complete my assignments, weekly reflections, forums and blaa blaa blaaaa...
Now, I'll move on with my reflection's answer,
Group discussion will be an activity or exercises carried out by few numbers of students from the range of 2 to 10 members in a group. Most probably the students will exchange and also share informations and knowledges regarding the subject during the group discussion. Group discussion is also known as a technique or a method used for screening candidates as well as testing their potential.
The first
misapplication will be class size. The class discussion will be less effective
with a class size greater than 20 students. When the class sizes grow, an
individual voices become unheard and the opportunity for the class to get off
topic increases.
Other than that, time
consuming will also be a misapplication of discussion. While the students exploring the subject
during the lesson time, requires far more time to than classic lecturer style
instruction. Short class period will not enough for the students to accommodate
complicated subject matter or to fully explore a daily objective.
The final one will
be off track. Classroom discussions naturally open for the students to discuss
between students and the other students or between the students and the
instructor. That moment, the students have to cooperate with each other so that
the task that given can be done without any problems.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Take care dear people :)
